8.10.06 --- And Then She Was 6.

Last Friday, the Doll turned six whole years old.  Evan had been teasing her all week that she'd wake up with monkey ears.  She flew out of her room bright and early and exclaimed, "I don't have monkey ears!!  Dad was wrong!"  The donut fairy delivered a fat lemon-filled mess.  We took lunch and cake to the park where we met our friends and played in the sunshine for hours.  Evan was home early so we hung out for a bit and watched youtube clips of young girls yodeling.  This certain 6-year-old is determined she's going to be famous.  'A-little-old-lady-who' is wearing thin around here!  She's currently working on the theme song from Rapunzel - she has tune and pitch and all that's needed to be a great singer.  However, she didn't want me posting the video because it's not perfected yet.  Late afternoon we hit up a cool mini-golf place.  Picked up The Lorax on the way home and had family movie night.  Went to bed with bellies full of Mountain Gold shakes.  All in all - a great way to spend her first day being six!
Flipping through the spiral-bound map book in the van:  "Is this the whole world?"  No, just Minneapolis/St. Paul.  "Oh, so just some of it is missing?"

A little taste of the drama that never stops.

Happy Birthday, Princess Avrie! LOVED your video. :) It must be a six-year-old thing. Gavyn has been wanting to make movies lately, too.
