See this little man?

He's darling, right? Good thing. Last night:

1:00 am - He's up wanting attention. I lay by him for 15 minutes before tiring of eye jabs and the like. Tell him to go. to. sleep. Go to sleep myself.

1:38 am - Awake to a noise. Check out the boy's room. Cole is missing. Hear a noise from the living room. He had helped himself to a cup and a half gallon of almond milk from the fridge. He has his cup on the couch and is trying to figure out how to get the screw cap off the carton. He has also turned the computer on. For light, maybe? Meanwhile, the fridge door is wide open. I give him a cupful that he downs like he's been wandering in the desert for 30 days. I retrieve his pillow and blanket and firmly put him in the port-a-crib that is in our room for my daycare baby. Go back to sleep.

See this beauty?
Precious, right? Good thing. The night continues:

1:52 am - Avrie starts screaming. Bad dream. I get her a drink and tuck her back in. Go back to sleep myself.

2:12 am - Wake to Avrie climbing in my bed. Too tired to fight it.

sometime after that - Nolan's peeing. Loud enough to wake the entire house. Aside from Cole, Avrie and Evan. Go back to sleep. Again.

The Real Morning - Wake with more wrinkles than yesterday and eye bags big enough they'd need to be checked at the airport.

What a night!!! I am so lucky with Aurelia, she wakes up to eat and goes back to sleep, usually before she is done eating, then I have to pump some, but that is the worst of it.

Hope tonight goes much better!

It's all my fault....I was secretly hoping someone out there in the world had their sleep interrupted as frequently as I did last night....up with my baby who only seems to want to sleep next to me, latched on....

he is...but only because we got a big desk in the boy's room and there wasn't room for the crib. he's been in a bed since the end of april. he's been so good about it though...he rarely, rarely gets out. if it wasn't for the desk...he'd still be in a crib. yesssiree.

how was your trip??? recovered yet?! =)

oh, i feel worse than ever =(

I remember nights like that, and NOT fondly. Here this week, it's the teenagers (my three and their cousins) seeing if they can stay up all night without making enough noise to wake the adults.
