Dear Tooth Fairy

My baby lost a tooth and turned into a giant KID. Nolan has been holding tight to this tooth for the last week. He was determined to save it for Friday so Grandma could see it come out. Friday came and went. Saturday was a whirlwind of a super amazing fun day with friends that involved Ben Franklin, Cat & Canary whistles, grinding wheat, roasting coffee beans, looking at pictures from H's time in Haiti, name switching with friends, eating scallops, coffee ice cream and homemade chocolate coconut marshmallows. There just wasn't time for that tooth to come out. Sunday comes with special company and our dear medical student joined us for supper. He volunteered, with a little shove from me, to extract the tooth. A little floss, a little pull and my baby grew up. A little notice would have been nice. Unfortunately, the Tooth Fairy was out of bubblegum. But, she did have $2 and a note that said "buy your own." She's a little sassy.

what do you mean by name switching? now just wait until his big teeth start growing in. they look so different after that:( btw, i'm reading a homemade life & loving it! i've made 2 recipes so far.

more a reference for me, mindy...but the kids were switching names with tavis and sianna (or is it sienna?) it was hysterical. only because they thought it was sooo funny!

glad you're liking the book! i can't recommend it enough! i made the potato salad for our special meeting company and it was delish. i did omit the caraway seeds.
