In spite of myself, I'm loved...

I've had a very rough week with regard to parenting. Very rough. After I dropped Nolan off at school this morning Avrie and I (and Cole) went to the mall to use up some store credit. It didn't go well. I fought back tears the whole morning. When we pick up Nolan, this is what he immediately gives me:

So I cried in front of all his friends. He didn't care.

awww, how sweet. they can be so frustrating, but it seems like they can sense when we're at our breaking point. hope you can get a nap this afternoon.

Awww, I wish I could give you a big hug! Don't kids always have a way of making you melt...even when they're the ones who've brought you to the point of (almost) no return?

Sorry you've had a tough week! I well remember those days when the kids were little like yours. Some days I would just about meet Bruce on the highway on his way home from work:) Glad for little reminders like Nolan's love letter that make the tough days a little easier!

Shopping with a two year old and a newborn will always be a challenge.
Hang in there.
