This morning Avrie asked me for a ponytail. Then she asked to get dressed. After that she says "shoppin', Mommy. Book & toy store (that's what we call the thrift store), Mommy". Smart little cookie. She's turning into a woman. We went to Target for a few things last night and got her a pair of neutral sandals. She wanted to try on all the shoes. She's also related to her Grandma Char!
I'm very happy that it's a rainy day. I was looking for a guilt-free reason to stay inside all day.
I have no more bullet-able information.
Ahhh, summer food.
Look! My son is smiling! At the camera! We set up a little tent in the backyard and the kids have had a blast playing in it.

i saw you guys walking out at the funeral & i just have to say how cute avrie was in her puffy dress & pig tails. she was walking like she knows it too!
oh my word. she was horrible...she didn't want me to carry her and was screeching "walk, walk, walk". so i set her down and she immediately takes off...i see the future of her tripping up some old person and causing a scene...so i catch her and she screams....argh! but yes, she loves her poofy "pretty dress" and her pig tails. she calls a bun "bunnies"...which is just when i don't pull the pony all the way through.
I hear you on the guilt free stay inside all day thing. I feel so bad because Trae can't go outside unless I go, but it's so hot. He brings his shoes to me and says "ball, peese...?" It's sad.
How is the corn? We haven't had any yet this year.
we had some two weeks ago that was awesome...but this stuff was pretty gross....lots of butter and salt & pepper took care of the flavor but the texture was nasty.
and again, what cute kids. that corn looks good.
