"Your house is always perfection", she said.

I got a text this morning from someone. She had this scary idea for me. Take pictures of my house as-is. And post them. Oh, the horrors. I did NOT want to do that. Then she replies with "In my mind your house is always perfection." I'm always up for proving someone wrong. (Yes, that suitcase on my bedroom floor is from two weekends ago. Judge away.) Good old human nature prevails:

As all you mothers know, the outcome below will last approximately 1 hour. Maybe a bit more if there are children missing from the home. All three of our rugrats will be spending the night at their Great Auntie's tonight so I will get to enjoy my clean house for a bit! Whooohoo!

looks about like what mine looks like...lived in. we are also known to have a suitcase laying around for a week or two after a vacation/convention :) and in our bedroom is piles of clean clothes on the hope chest.

Great post! :):) I love it...and it looks much better than ours looks most of the time...especially in the middle of the day, then it's at it's worst!

I agree. Your "before" photos aren't bad at all. I sent Nate away with a long shopping list and the kids and told him to take his time so I could clean my house today for the first time in 3 weeks. I see the little crack in the blinds that Toby must peek through!

I couldn't tell if the first picture was "before" or "after!"
I'll have to do this sometime. You'd be horrified. I'M horrified, that three kids can trash a house so quickly...and that I have to pick it up. Sure, I know the kids should do that, but it's easier said than done.
About the suitcase: I've been known to leave mine shoved against the bedroom wall for two to three weeks too.

I think it looks pretty good in the before and after shots.
'Keeping house' is hard work. Period. Yours looks great!
