Nolan's 1st Performance!

Nolan has his first school performance this morning! His class acted out The Three Little Pigs. Nolan was the brick house and stood strong. It was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen...*tear, weep, cry*. Grainy pictures, but you get the point.

Awe, MOM!

All the wolves blowing in his face. Sure hope they weren't sick.

Karissa, the fantastic teacher!

Everyone brought something for a potluck afterwards. It was supposed to be something that was a tradition in our family. I haven't started anything yet...but we made these growing up:

When I think of Christmas/New Year's growing up I think of three things:

1. Homemade Chex mix
2. Old Dutch caramel puffcorn
3. Bacon and Eggs

I'll post the difficult (haha) recipe over on my foodblog.

So I whipped up a batch and they were a hit! We have quite the cultural town so it was a good assortment of goodies. One mom brought a chicken dish from Mexico that was oh-so-yummy. We had an African pull-apart savory bread, lefse that tasted just like Grandma's, a weird jello that was swimming in melted ice cream, various cookies, dips and cheese.

How cute...I wasn't prepared for tears at Elliot's first concert but I couldn't help it.
I had forgotten all about bacon and eggs...

Aww how cute. I'll be the mom sobbing in the audience, too!
