A Few Fun Thrift Finds...

This adorable fairy from Morgan Evan Thorne. They retail for $15.00. I paid $2.80. She now lives above Avrie's bed. Room pictures coming soon. Well, soon if baby boy holds off for a while yet. I scored an antique bookcase for her room at a garage sale. We're going to paint it pink this weekend, hopefully.

Brand spankin' new "packback" for Nolan for preschool for $6.95. The tags were still on it.

Still in the shrink wrap. Anyone who has bought Rook cards before knows I got a major steal.

Steal here too. $12.95 retail. As you can see...I paid $2.80.
To make it even better I had a $5 off total purchase coupon. That makes everything even cheaper. Wahoo!

Awesome finds! I was at our Goodwill last week and found that same magnetic alphabet book, brand new with all the tape still on. It had a sticker on the back that said $1.99, but we bought about 5 other books as well, so I put them all on the counter together and the lady only charged me the regular 59 cent price for it....totally awesome! What do you think...too many pieces for convention?? For an almost 4 year old?

you got a much better deal than i! i think it's the coolest book and i'm definitely bringing it to convention. i think i'll put all the letters in a ziplock bag though...the plastic case on front is pretty noisy and not practical to put away quickly.

You still got an awesome deal on yours...they're stinkin' expensive to pay full price for! I was also thinking of putting the pieces in a ziploc baggie...and I'm going to probably just cut the plastic thing off the front?? It's noisy to open and also quite difficult to open...and once I finally get it open, the pieces are ready to fly everywhere. Cool idea, but not very practical design. When is your convention?

martha--boy, don't i wish! kind of....and kind of not. there are still a few things i'd like to get done...but aren't there always?!! besides, as my MIL kindly pointed out to me yesterday...if i do it all, there won't be anything for her to do!

melissa--2nd weekend in october...so we've got a little time to collect things! yes, the cover is a pain to open. we've lost O & P since we got home...better start looking.

I'm impressed wtih your thriftiness. I got a backpack, sleeping bag, water bottle set for Kekoa for convention yesterday at Target (shhh... don't tell anyone I was there) for $9.98. That's about as thrifty as I get. Ha. The fairy is bee-oo-tiful!
