We have been getting water in our basement this summer. Here's why.
This sidewalk is jacked up in this picture. It had been slanted toward the house a good inch. Hence, water would run toward the house.
This is under the sidewalk. The entire sidewalk and steps are being held up by little pillars of dirt on four corners. The ground settled majorly after the sidewalk was laid. Evan packed the gaping hole full of dirt and sand. We're hoping this solves our water problem.
I don't have a before picture. Evan added all the rock. So far no plants except a few hosta.
