Hi Mommy
Isn't the wall pretty? This is what Nolan was doing while Mommy wasn't looking. He was so proud of himself. It came off with a Mr. Clean Eraser. I can't recommend those things enough.
This is Avrie and I last night. We had a Mommy/Kids photo shoot. I think that if I were to die my kids would never know they had a mother if all they had was picture books. It's all pictures of Daddy/Kids. So, if you have pictures of me with my kids I'd really like them!

Our Eventful Weekend
Mom and Dad came up on Friday to watch the kids while Evan and I went out for our anniversary. Avrie had taken a bottle last weekend but we hadn't tried it again. Soo.....I know that people think that I'm exaggerating when I say that she won't take a bottle. Ask my Mom. She got her to drink from a stuffed bunny ear...a medicine dropper...and then finally a bottle on the last feeding before we got home. I did try a bottle on Sunday night and she took it without a fuss. Whoohooo! To top it all off Dad was sick and bonded with the bathroom.
Evan and I had a blast though!!! We went to bed at 10:30 and slept until 8:30 without getting out of bed once! We went bowling on Saturday afternoon and I bowled a 115...I've never bowled over 100...I'm a terrible bowler. Well, I WAS a terrible bowler. Now I'm just okay. There's a bowling alley two blocks down the street from us and it's dirt cheap.
Nolan's on a crafty roll this morning. We've played playdough, cut and colored paper and now he's finger painting. And it's not even 11 yet. I made the mistake of vacuuming before all this.
Avrie is up on all fours...yikes! I'm sure crawling is a ways off yet though. She's still pretty tippy when she's sitting.

What Nolan Did During "Nap" Today....
I heard noises coming from Nolan's room and went to check on him. The smart little bugger had pushed his toy box against the door so I couldn't get it open. His room was torn apart. He had found a marker (what was this doing in his room??) and colored all over his bookcase, face, arms and fingernails. There were 3 unwrapped tampons in his bed (what were these doing in his room??). He had found a reusable sticker book and had torn all the stickers out and ripped them into little pieces. This was all in 15 minutes. Ohhhhhhh boy.

I Hate Snow
Some neighborhood boys knocked on the door this afternoon and asked if they could shovel for me for $. Money well spent. I haven't had a wet and sandy floor all winter....why did it have to start now?! My next house is not having an outside door entering the kitchen. My kitchen is always full of shoes and dirt. Ugh.
Avrie is very close to sitting alone. She does a pretty good job of it right now but still topples over quite a bit. No teeth yet but she drools at least a gallon a day.
Went to a local thrift store today for 50% off everything. Didn't find too much...some clothes for the kids, a book (Wicked...anyone read it?), a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DVD..how retro! I used to play TMNT at recess in elementary school. Recess brings back lots of fond and not-so-fond memories.
I booked a hotel for this Friday night for our anniversary. Mom & Dad are coming up to stay with the kids. I haven't been away from Avrie for longer than 3 hours so it will be interesting for both of us. I did get her to take a bottle...reluctantly...and not a cheap one either....Adiri is the brand and it's shaped like a breast and is soft so baby can knead it. It's the only bottle that she has taken. And she might be turning into a Thumbellina...she found her thumb yesterday and kind of likes it. Although she hasn't sucked on a pacifier for longer than 3 minutes her whole little life. I'd be very surprised if she started sucking her thumb regularly.

Joe Cool
Ran errands today with Nolan and his sunglasses! We got quite a few looks to say the least. He got them from Gma at convention...we didn't let him have them in meeting for obvious reasons!!!
Avrie is cutting teeth so we haven't been getting much sleep lately. I got about 3 hours last night. She's growing like a weed though. She started rolling over on Friday last week, but she doesn't like being on her tummy once she rolls over. She loves it when Nolan entertains her and laughs and laughs! He can cheer her up when she's crying.
