I'm a horrible mother and didn't take any pictures of the kids together at the Halloween party, but here they are. Notice the John Deere tractor in
Nolan's hand...it's like a blanky of sorts. Sleeps with it, eats with it, etc.

Last night before bed Nolan had a 1/2 sippy cup of milk and asked for more. So Evan said "Okay, I'll get you a little more". Nolan says "No, big more". =)

Well, my goal for today is to have a shower, vacuum and unload the dishwasher. We'll see if any of that actually gets done!

Been Awhile

Haven't been up to much the last week. Avrie has been wonderful for the most part. She sleeps 5-7 hours at night. Can't ask for more than that. Nolan didn't sleep that good until he was over a year.

Nolan went on a date tonight with his Great Cousin Pat and his Great Aunt Cindy. Pat picked him up and they went to a Halloween party at Byerly's in Roseville. Nolan wore his costume...the cutest cowboy ever =) I'll post pictures later...haven't taken any yet. He had lots of fun but didn't get anything he could eat. He had a goldfish cracker and his cheeks are bright red.

Going to Grandma Char's tomorrow to paint pumpkins.

Me'N the Kids

Avrie is sticking her tongue out at her brother already =)

Came to The Farm Wednesday to see Gma and Poppa and do some tractor riding. Nolan was out with Poppa today for 4 hours riding in the combine and tractor.

Vintage Avrie and Nolan the Hulk

Avrie is wearing a dress that I wore as a baby! I thought it would be too big yet but it's almost too small! Yikes! I noticed yesterday that I am starting to pick her up under the arms already. She's growing too fast.

Nolan was playing downstairs with Daddy this morning...he has a picture of the Incredible Hulk on the wall of his office. Nolan came upstairs and pulled the green bag out of the cupboard and put it on his head and said he was the Incredible Hulk!!!! The imagination begins! Today he was drawing more dinosaurs and bunny rabbits. Oky doky.

Nolan helped Daddy fix the dishwasher this morning and I kept hearing "Daddy, wait two minutes. Fix screwdriver. Put flashlight. Just a minute".

The Most Relaxing Bath EVER!!

So...I run myself a nice hot bath and then get in to relax with my new book. Avrie starts crying and Nolan comes to poke me with a yardstick.

Ahhh.

Dishes

I washed a sink full of dishes today...by HAND! I haven't done that since we lived in student housing and didn't have a dishwasher. In fact, the only things that get washed by hand around here are sippy cups, SIGG bottles and a platter that's too big to fit in the DW. It's actually not that bad (washing dishes by hand). We're having issues with our DW...it's not draining right and leaves a film on the dishes.

Seeing "DW"...mom used to leave me to-do lists at home:

MT DW
LOAD D
MT WM

She was ready for IM lingo way before she knew what it was!!

Dreary Day

Cleaned out closets and pulled out all the 3/6 month clothes for Avrie. Rearranged Nolan's room so his bed is on the inside wall...too chilly on the outside. I am amazed at what a smarty pants he is. He has a tub full of every animal imaginable, a tub of tools and a tub of assorted trucks/diggers, etc. He knows them all by name. He was drawing on my wall calendar today and told me it was a big dinosaur...it actually resembled one!

Work is at a stand still for Evan until it warms up...if it does. So right now he's working for Terry and will do that all winter hopefully.

Had chicken soup for lunch and having chili for supper...kind of soup weather.

Both kids are napping...so off I go to nap too.

Misc Pics

Avrie and Daddy a few minutes ago. Cheri and Elliot two weeks ago. Our tree out front last week.

Avrie caught a convention cold...it hasn't gotten the rest of us yet. She is MUCH better colic-wise. She is sleeping well at night and has cut way down on her crying. The highlight of our week was our new Super Target opening. We've been without a Target for almost a year. We had to drive a whole 10 minutes rather than 2!!

Tomorrow is the start of potty training for Nolan. He is very, very ready and hopefully it will be short and sweet!

Bossy Boy

Nolan tells me today "Mommy, go tell Daddy come." And tonight when I was tucking him in bed he says "Mommy, hold your hand B-I-N-G-O over" (he has a song CD he listens to every night before bed). He is a very bossy boy. "Come ONNN" is his favorite.

We were at The Farm this past weekend and Gma gave him an ear of corn and a pail. He brought it home with him along with a few extra cobs and he will not stop thinking about it. It's the only thing he's played with today and he even wanted to take it to bed with him. He can count out pieces up to 14 without missing a number!! We went to the mall after supper and as soon as we got in the car he wondered where his corn was. Cheap entertainment that's for sure.

Ms. Fussypants is still colicky. I had a phone consult today with a homeopath and hopefully we've figured out what remedy she needs. I don't know how much more of this crying I can take. I'm so glad she wasn't my first baby! We're hoping she settles down some for convention...or at least sleeps through all the meetings...she can scream all she wants in between.

The time zone is set wrong on this blog and I can't figure out where to change it. So, the time it says I posted is 2 hours behind. If anyone really cares! It just bugs me.
