Zoo

Nolan asked this morning if we could go to the zoo...so after breakfast we went to Como. It was absolutely gorgeous...perfect weather. We even went without a stroller and Nolan was awesome and listened to me!! He fell asleep on the way home and as soon as I got him carried in and laid down in bed it started to downpour.
We were ALL in bed by 10 last night...that's huge for us!! Usually it's 11-1. Avrie was awesome...she's been doing really well at night. Evan got up with Nolan and let me sleep until 9:30 =)

Growing!

Avrie was weighed today: 10 pounds 3 1/4 ounces. Haven't done much the past few days. Having a 2-year-old and a colicky baby kind of take their toll on me. Went to Arc thrift store today and got in trouble because I was letting Nolan stand on a chair. Oh, I'm such a horrible mother. So, I told him to get off and he threw a tantrum and screamed bloody murder. Now, which would they rather have: my happy boy standing on a chair, or a screaming one thrashing on the floor?? Anyone is welcome to come and walk the floors with Avrie and entertain Nolan while I have a nap and a long bath!!! I am so ready for a vacation. I do love my job though! Nothing beats tucking Nolan in and hearing him say "I love you, mommy"! =) He said that for the first time last night without me having to say it first! =) He can almost sing every word of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and he sings himself to sleep.

Rainy Day

I dropped Nolan off at Gma's today and then took Avrie to her chiro appointment. We all went to Unique and found a couple things. I got Evan a pair of his favorite brand jeans for a couple bucks. They are $80 at Macy's. Also got a huge dollhouse with all the people and furniture for a mere $14....they are $60+ on ebay. Knitted for a bit after lunch and left early enough to avoid the worst of the traffic. Nolan threw a tantrum as we were leaving and got himself half out of his carseat on 35W. Lovely. He eventually screamed himself to sleep while I held his arms through his seatbelt so he couldn't get out. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm so glad tomorrow is Saturday.

Avrie For Supper!!

She should be yummy! Actually having meatloaf for the second time this week...not leftovers either! It's the recipe from the Garden of Eating cookbook...it's awesome.
Evan got rained out of work today so it was fun to have him home for the afternoon.
Nolan and I left Avrie with Daddy and went to the library and to Michaels for some knitting things. I'm trying to get all the hats and scarves knit before convention. Avrie is getting a raspberry hat.
Today was an improvement with Ms. Colic. She was awake and not crying today for a long time! Whoohoo! Nights have been going well too. So hopefully we've got the food sensitivity worked out and she'll be better from here on out. She has an appointment tomorrow morning with the chiro and she's usually awesome after her adjustments.

Finished Nolan's winter hat. Need to make him one with earflaps too but I haven't found one I like. Making him a scarf from the same yarn. I went to Trader Joe's with Avrie last night and she screamed the entire time. At least I had the sympathy of everyone in the store and got lots of help....and unwanted advice. What's up with that??

All About Play!

We went to Grayson and Trevin's to play today. The kids had fun playing and De and I had fun talking! I went to Ikea after lunch to pick up a few things. We turned the dining room into a play room and I needed curtains and floor pillows. Nolan thinks it's pretty cool! Evan is going to hang magnetic strips on the wall tonight to hang art-work on. We never had company anyway...and we have a table for 4 in the kitchen. Went to play with Ashton after supper. Busy day!

Okay, about time I get this set up. I hope to get some pictures posted of my kidlets and keep this as updated as time will allow. Our family picture was taken August 10, 2006, Avrie's b-day!
